This portal gives access to information about projects which have been found by
the RuraLEARN project to
operate, directly or indirectly, in the cross-section of two fields: lifelong
learning and rural development. For more information about RuraLEARN and the theme
of lifelong learning as a vehicle for development in rural Europe, please click
here.
As RuraLEARN was initiated with the support of the Socrates Programme of the
European Commission (in 2006-2007, as an Accompanying Measure), there has been
a special focus on identifying relevant work supported by Socrates. The projects,
distinguished into those funded by Socrates and those initiated in other frameworks,
are organised into seven categories, which can be browsed through the links
on the left.
- School education
- Adult education
- Higher education
- Professional development
- Fight against the digital divide
- Better understanding of the rural space
- Visionary approaches to learning and development issues
